| For him: If he's under a lot of
pressure at work and there are plenty of jobs that have been
stacking up around the house, we suggest that a handyman for a few
hours could be a very good idea for him. He will be very grateful and may
even enjoy the experience if he decides to work alongside too. For her: Although a
handyman or cleaner would also make a tremendous gift for her too (we say
more about why here) perhaps something less
functional may be appropriate. How about a special lunch or dinner
organised at home? Something really enjoyable that involves no work for her
(or you) whatsoever.

Suggested plan of action:

Secretly invite some close friends (ones
that your partner really likes, perhaps not your pals from the Rugby or
Hockey club on this occasion) and bring in the Caterer to prepare, cook
and clear a fabulous meal. You could even add a Butler to the mix as well
to make it extra special. It won't
take much effort to organise as all of our teams will be highly
professional and will have done this many times before. In a nutshell all
you have to do is call the Caterers and confirm a date. They will ask
questions about her food likes and dislikes - and that's about it. |
Except.... When she/he comes home from work
(or when you do) the first thing is a glass of Champagne. Then there's a
bluff which suggests she/he gets ready to go out for a special meal.
Whilst she's upstairs changing, which as we chaps all know will certainly
take a while (with apologies to the ladies here, but you know it's true)
the caterers sneak in a start to get things ready. If the gift is for a
man, organise a friend to take him to the pub for an hour. So, the
caterers arrive. Things won't take long to prepare. Most of the dishes
will probably have been freshly prepared that afternoon. Then the friends
arrive. Quietly.... Then he/she comes downstairs (or back for the pub) and
...voila. The perfect gift.
