We generally issue vouchers based on hours of service
which we calculate according to price levels which service providers may set in the region
of plus or minus 20% our prices guidelines. This being due to regional variations.
If for example a buyer purchases a
voucher for £150 and the hourly rate of labour in a particular region is
£20/hr, then after deduction of our costs the bearer would be entitled to 6.75
hours of time. However, voucher bearers may wish to apply an element of the
value to materials as well. Most notably but not
exclusively this could apply to Catering where values can
include materials (eg. food).
For example preparing a meal based on £90 worth
of labour and £45 materials would be acceptable. This could equally apply to
other services such as handymen or cleaners. For example a voucher holder
might wish to choose 3 or 4 hours labour with the balance going to the cost of
any materials.
The terms of use are stated very clearly on the
vouchers in order to avoid any confusion. Whatever the case, the service
provider is bound by our conditions to openly discuss and pre-agree the
allocation of labour and materials prices in a fair and honourable manner. |
